Webshop Application
This project was mainly focused on building an application with Spring Boot and Thymeleaf. It helped me understand how backend logic and frontend templates work together in one complete web application.
Besides development, I also worked with UML and used the wiki to document the structure, ideas, and organisation of the project.
Project Overview
This webshop project gave me the opportunity to build a more complete application with both backend and frontend parts working together. It was a good step forward in learning how applications are structured and how dynamic pages can be created.
I also used the wiki and UML to organise the project better and to document important ideas, flows, and structure during development.
Project Goal
The goal of this project was to create a webshop application while learning how to work with Spring Boot and Thymeleaf. I wanted to understand how data, logic, and templates connect inside a real application.
Another important part was learning how to structure the project clearly with UML and project documentation in the wiki.
What I Learned
This project helped me improve my understanding of Java backend development, Spring Boot structure, Thymeleaf templates, and how an application can be organised in a more professional way.
It also taught me the value of planning, documenting, and visualising a project with UML before and during development.
What I focused on
Spring Boot
Building the application structure and backend logic with Spring Boot.
Thymeleaf
Creating dynamic pages and connecting frontend templates with backend data.
UML & Wiki
Using UML and wiki documentation to plan, explain, and organise the project clearly.
Built with
This project was mainly built with Java, Spring Boot, and Thymeleaf, with UML and wiki documentation supporting the planning and structure.
